Raipur. IPS Ashok Juneja has now been given the command of the new Director-General of Police (DGP) of Chhattisgarh. IPS Ashok Juneja is an officer of the 1989 batch. DGP DM Awasthi took over the command of the police department on 19 December 2018. Recently, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had a meeting with the police department. In that meeting, he had given strict instructions that any employee or officer who is in the same post for more than two and a half years should get transferred.

 

Ashok Juneja is an 89 batch IPS officer. He was Additional SP in Raigarh. SP in Bilaspur. SSP in Durg and Raipur. He was also the IG of Bilaspur and Durg.

 

He served as intelligence chief for about three years and had almost all the postings related to the police department. He was also the Home Secretary in the ministry and Director Sports. He was also Additional Commissioner in Transport. Apart from this, he was also on central deputation. He was in Narcotics in Delhi for two years. After that, he also took over the responsibility of the security chief of the Commonwealth Games. 

 He had served in all capacities except the posting, which he has now.  Now he is DG Naxal.
