Raipur. All private schools in Chhattisgarh will remain closed on October 25. The Private School Association has announced that on Monday there will be a strike at the state level. The people of the school association will express their displeasure towards the government by gathering at the dharna site of Budhapara in Raipur. More than seven thousand schools in the state will remain closed.
The education of about 16 lakh children studying in all these schools will be affected. School Association President Rajiv Gupta said that the government is constantly ignoring our demands. At many levels, the schools have put their problems to the government, but nobody heard us. Now the organization of the state has taken this decision. On October 25, all schools will be locked. Teaching staff, non-teaching staff will all be on strike. The main reason for this strike is the money received by private schools under RTE, Right to Education. For the last several months, about 106 crores are due to all the schools, which the government has not given.
Demands of Schools –
The reimbursement amount of RTE for 2020-2021 should be provided to the non-government schools without delay.
The operation of school buses remained closed for 16 months, so from April 2020 to July 2021 (16 months), the road tax of all school buses in the state should be waived.
The School Education Department is adopting a stubborn attitude on new recognition, renewal of recognition. The process of recognition is overdue by 2 to 3 years in the entire state.
During the Covid transition, the School Education Department inspected all the private schools of the state. Non-government schools are harassed in different districts.
