13 students tested positive for Covid-19 in Raigarh school

As many as 13 children have been tested positive for Covid-19 in Navodaya
School in Bhupdevpur of Raigarh district.
As
per official sources, three children of the school were experiencing symptoms of
cold, cough, and fever and were sent to testing on Friday. Their antigen reports
came positive. Following this, other students who came in contact were also
tested in which 10 more students were also tested positive for coronavirus.
As
per health officials, all the students who tested positive for Covid have been
shifted to a guest house from the hostel. The school has been declared a
containment zone. All the students have mild symptoms. Two health officers have
been put on duty. Travel history and contact tracing work are being done at a
rapid pace.
As
per school education officials, classes from 6th to 12th are being conducted
here and about 300 students are there on the campus. Students testing positive for
Covid-19 are from class 8th and 12th.

informed that parents of students visit them every Sunday. Five days ago a
parent who visited campus was tested positive. The possibility is these three
students have developed symptoms after coming into contact with the parent.
