Vice-Chancellor Prof. Chakrawal Nominated to the Prestigious Research Committee of ICSSR

Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (a Central University) has been declared a nominated member of the prestigious Research Committee of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi. Professor Chakrawal was elected as the Nominee Member of the Distinguished Research Committee at the 142nd Annual General Meeting of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) New Delhi on 15th February 2023.
The Indian Council of Social Science Research provides grants to promote research through research projects, fellowships, international collaborations, capacity-building measures, surveys, publications etc. This committee examines the approval of financial assistance to research projects and other research proposals submitted or sponsored by the Council. The Research Committee is one of the three major committees of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi, with a year.
Continuous Effort to make CU the Best
Continuous development works are underway beneath the able leadership and efficient guidance of Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal, Vice-Chancellor of the Central University. These path-breaking initiatives include necessary changes in research plans and curriculum for implementation of the National Education Policy-2020 in its entirety, efforts made to establish the tribal pride, establishment of Mahima Guru Peeth, Svavalambi Chhattisgarh scheme for all-round development of local youth, Guru Ghasidas University Swabhiman Thali (GST), MoU with prestigious institutions of India and abroad, efforts made for environment protection and solar energy sector, infrastructure development, and establishment of Dr Ambedkar Center for Excellence for facilitating the preparation of national level examinations for underprivileged students, etc. These positive efforts have placed Central University among the frontline higher educational institutions of the country.
