Padma Shri Anuj Sharma among 300 prominent citizens of Chhattisgarh join BJP

As the Chhattisgarh assembly elections approach nearer, political activity has intensified in the state. In this sequence, eminent personalities and artists of the state joined the BJP on Thursday.
Chhattisgarhi superstar Padma Shri Anuj Sharma, Padma Shri panthi dancer Dr Radheshyam Barle along with other great personalities of the state joined the BJP in the presence of all the senior leaders including BJP State President Arun Sao, in-charge Om Mathur and former chief minister Dr Raman Singh.
Film director, choreographer, lawyer are among those who joined BJP along with actor Anuj Sharma. Apart from these, President of Maurya Samaj Rajendra Nayak Patel, Vijay Kumar Dhurva, former corporator Amar Basal, former advocate Nishant Kumar Srivastava also joined.
BJP State President Arun Sao, State Incharge Om Mathur, National Vice President Dr Raman Singh, senior BJP leader, MLA Brijmohan Agarwal, MP Sunil Soni, State General Secretary Kedar Kashyap, Vijay Sharma and senior leaders were present in the programme.
It may be mentioned, the 2008 batch IAS Neelkanth Tekam joining the BJP has also become talk of the town. IAS Tekam has applied for VRS after which speculation about his joining is rife. Tekam, a resident of Saraipara of Antagarh in Kanker district, has been quite active in the district.
If highly placed sources of BJP are to be believed then Tekam can be made party candidate from Antagarh or Kondagaon. He is in touch with central leaders. Tekam is the second IAS after OP Chowdhary, who has taken VRS from his job for BJP membership.
