NITI Aayog’s Delta Ranking: Narayanpur secures a place among top five aspirational districts under Overall Performance category

Raipur: Chhattisgarh’s insurgency-hit Narayanpur district has secured its place among the top five aspirational districts under the ‘Overall Performance’ category in the Champions of Change Delta Ranking released by NITI Aayog for the month of August.

Among the top five districts in the overall performance category, Narayanpur has bagged the fifth position. Meanwhile, in the monthly delta ranking, Narayanpur district ranks second in the health and nutrition category and fourth in the education category.

It is worth mentioning that remarkable work has been done for the development of the education, nutrition, and healthcare sector in the district in the last less than four years under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. These efforts have also been appreciated by the Government of India many times. Underprivileged children are getting an opportunity to study in English medium schools with the commencement of government-run Swami Atmanand English Medium Schools. On these lines, Swami Atmanand Hindi Medium Schools have also started to improve the quality of education in Hindi medium. Besides, in yet another unique initiative, primary school children in the aspirational districts are being given education in their local dialect to keep them connected to their roots and make their primary education easier.

Similarly, ‘Mukhyamnatri Suposhan Abhiyan’, a brainchild of Bhupesh Baghel, is being run in the district for eradication of malnutrition among children and anemia among adolescent girls and women, which is yielding positive results.  Besides, remarkable work is being done to improve healthcare facilities in the state with the implementation of schemes like ‘Mukhyamantri Haat Bazar Clinic’, ‘Dai-Didi Clinic’, ‘Mukhyamantri Slum Swasthya Yojana’, ‘Hamar Lab’, ‘Malaria Mukt Bastar’ and ‘Malaria Mukt Chhattisgarh Yojana’, ‘Dr Khoobchand Baghel Swasthya Yojana’ and ‘Mukhyamantri Vishesh Swasthya Yojana’.
