Lord Shri Ram, who showed the world the righteous path, received guidance from Mata Shabri, a forest dweller of Chhattisgarh: Poet Kumar Vishwas

Raipur: “Lord Shri Ram showed the path of knowledge for the entire world. It was Mata Shabri, a forest dweller of Chhattisgarh, who guided him on this path. She advised him to visit the Pampa Sarovar and meet Sugriva”, said poet Kumar Vishwas who is on a visit to Raigarh to perform at the ‘National Ramayana Festival’.Vishwas expressed that Chhattisgarh is blessed with the presence of Lord Shri Ram as the sacred dust of his feet graced this land. He emphasized that Lord Shri Ram embodies the paramount ideals of universal well-being, prosperity, and harmonious governance. In 1932, Mahatma Gandhi penned his thoughts on ‘Ram Rajya’ and India in the Navjivan newspaper. “For many years, I have been traveling to Chhattisgarh frequently. Currently, there are extensive discussions taking place across the nation regarding the development of Lord Shri Ram’s exile route in Chhattisgarh”, he said. The discussions regarding this matter are ongoing with Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Culture Minister Amarjeet Bhagat. “I extend my gratitude to the Chief Minister for his dedication to the development of the Ram Van Gaman Tourism Circuit and for organizing this splendid event on a national level. Remarkable work is being carried out to preserve the holy locations associated with Lord Shri Ram”, he said.Vishwas also expressed his desire to visit all those places where the footsteps of Lord Shri Ram touched the ground.Vishwas mentioned that today he will be presenting the ‘Aranya Kand’, which depicts Lord Shri Ram’s arrival in Chhattisgarh during his exile. At that time, this region must have been covered with dense forests. He had heartfelt conversations with the tribal communities. Shri Rama has shown us how simple the forest dwellers of this place are, how affectionate they are, and how they always stand with the truth. Mentioning his special wish to focus his discourse on Mata Kaushalya and Mata Shabri, he said “Mata Kaushalya sent her son to the forest for the welfare of the people. This requires a big heart. I want to narrate their stories. A beautiful event is taking place in Raigarh, the cultural capital of Chhattisgarh. Remarkable work has been done regarding the Ramayana as well.”
