IOA President P T Usha Congratulates Newly Elected Chhattisgarh Olympic Association Leadership and praised GS Vikram Singh Sisodia’s effort

Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President P T Usha has extended her congratulations to the newly elected executive body of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association (CGOA). The gesture follows a meeting between CGOA Secretary General Vikram Singh Sisodia and the IOA President in Delhi, where Sisodia provided detailed updates on the association’s recent election and its vision for the future.

During the meeting, Sisodia informed P T Usha about the election of the CGOA’s new leadership, which was held on September 19, 2024. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai was unanimously elected as the President of the CGOA, reflecting strong consensus among the members. Sanjay Mishra was also elected as the Treasurer, completing a core team aimed at steering sports development in the state. The tenure of the newly elected body is set to run from 2024 to 2028.

Sisodia highlighted the association’s commitment to bolstering sports infrastructure and opportunities in Chhattisgarh under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. He discussed plans for advancing sports development in the state and sought the IOA’s guidance and support in achieving these objectives.

President P T Usha lauded the CGOA’s initiatives and assured the association of the IOA’s backing in promoting sports in Chhattisgarh. She emphasized the importance of state-level collaborations to nurture talent and provide athletes with robust platforms to excel on the national and international stage.

The meeting is expected to pave the way for strategic interventions and collaborations aimed at fostering sports in Chhattisgarh, aligning with India’s broader goals of promoting excellence in sports and creating pathways for athletes to shine globally.
