Hemchand Yadav University Durg confers an honorary degree on Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at the first convocation ceremony

Hemchand Yadav University Durg bestowed an honorary degree on Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at the first convocation ceremony on the 8th foundation day of the university. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel received the title for environmental protection and social welfare. On being selected for a PhD, Chief Minister Baghel asked the university administration, Why did you choose me for an honorary degree? I was feeling a bit uncomfortable.


Answering the CM’s question, the university administration said that for the successful innovations in Chhattisgarh under the Suraji village project, including Narva, Garuva, Ghuruva, Bari programs, and other public-friendly schemes, and programs, this honorary title of the university was gladly provided. On this, the CM thanked Hemchand Yadav University Durg. He said that our public welfare and environmental programmes would continue.


Governor Vishwabhushan Harichandan, Swami Nikhileshwaranand, Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, MP Lok Sabha Vijay Baghel, Durg MLA and President, Chhattisgarh Ware House Corporation Arun Vora, MLA Devendra Yadav, Registrar Bhupendra Kuldeep, Vice Chancellor Dr Aruna Palta, and other public representatives, teachers, principals, and officials were present.
