Health min speaks to beneficiaries of Chirayu Yojana on Children’s Day

Raipur: Health minister TS Singh Deo inquired about the health of the beneficiaries of the Chirayu yojana suffering from serious illness on the occassion of Children’s Day. Speaking with the beneficiaries of the scheme over call, the minister wished the children and their families a Happy Children’s Day and inquired about their well-being post operation. He also asked the family to take them to doctor for regular follow-ups post operation. He asked to contact on his mobile number in case of any problem related to the health of the children.
Deo spoke to the family members of Khyanshi Yadav of Durg district who had cochlear implants, Khoshang Divya of Bilaspur district who had heart surgery, Daman Tiwari of Kanker and Amrita Das of Mendera Kala of Surguja to know about their health. The families of all the children expressed their gratitude to the state government for the free operation of the children.
Meanwhile, a total of 54,407 children needing treatment in higher centers have been treated in the state in the last two years under the ‘Chirayu’ yojana under the National Child Health Program. So far 31,430 children have been treated in the current financial year 2022-23. For the care of child health, 328 ‘Chirayu’ teams are working across the state. They visit the schools and Anganwadis to check the health of the children and identify their physical deficiencies and diseases and arrange free treatment. Children in need of examination and treatment at Higher Centers are referred as needed.
