Raipur
Ramesh Bais, who served as Raipur’s MP for 26 years, is likely to campaigning on the streets of the capital for the BJP. On Monday, November 11, the BJP is set to hold a roadshow for the Raipur South by-election, with Bais taking part. Earlier this year, Bais returned to Chhattisgarh after concluding his tenure as governor, having served in Tripura, Jharkhand, and Maharashtra since 2019. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will also join the campaign in this roadshow.
MP Brijmohan Agrawal and Kiran Singhdeo will also participate in the event. BJP District President Jayanti Bhai Patel informed that members of the Youth Wing and Women’s Wing will lead the roadshow. Hundreds of workers will follow CM Sai’s campaign vehicle on bikes, chanting slogans.
Reception in Every Ward
The roadshow will take place within the Raipur South Assembly constituency. Community groups such as the Sindhi Society, Malviya Road Gol Bazaar Traders Association, and Sarafa Association will welcome the procession. Stages are being set up in each ward, where local councilors, representatives, and the general public will greet the roadshow.
Key Routes of the Roadshow
The roadshow will begin at Raipur’s Jaistambh Chowk, where CM Vishnudev Sai will garland the statue of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh. It will then proceed through Gol Bazaar police station, Chikni Mandir Chowk, Baijnath Para Chowk, Kotwali Chowk, Sadar Bazaar, Sadani Chowk, Sati Bazaar, Kankali Para, Azad Chowk, Lakhe Nagar, Ashwini Nagar, and Sundar Nagar, reaching Kushalpur. From there, it will pass through Danteshwari Temple, Pankaj Garden, Bandhwa Para, Lakhe Nagar, Lily Chowk, Purani Basti, Budheshwar Temple, Nandi Chowk, Siddharth Chowk, Kalibari Chowk, Mahila Thana Chowk, Canal Road, Katora Talab Marine Drive Chowk, and conclude near Netaji Chowk at Katora Talab.
