CM Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated Krishna Kunj in Rajnandgaon

Raipur: Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday inaugurated the Krishna Kunj developed in Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation during his ‘Bhent-Mulaqat’ programme. On the occasion, he planted a sapling of a camphor tree. He also distributed sports materials and hockey sticks provided by Smt.Suryamukhi Devi Rajgami Sampada Nyas Rajnandgaon to the players besides distributing sewing machines to 5 women. He boosted the morale of the players with his encouraging words and gave his blessings for their future endeavors.

Meanwhile, the state government has undertaken an initiative to develop ‘Krishna Kunj’ to preserve trees of cultural significance and save our cultural heritage. Besides, it also aims to keep the urban environment clean and aware the forthcoming generations of the importance of culturally significant trees. Krishna Kunj is being developed in urban areas, where the plantation of culturally significant trees like Banyan, Peepal, Kadam, Mango, Tamarind, Plum, Jamun, Ganga Ber, Mulberry, Chironji, Neem, Palash, Guava, Sitafal, and Bael is being done.
