Raipur: Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday made an appeal to government employees who are on strike over various issues including DA hike, to resume work immediately in public interest.
Baghel took to Twitter to appeal to the employees to resume their work as it is causing a lot of inconvenience to the general public. “My appeal to all the employees involved in the strike is that the public is facing a lot of inconvenience due to sudden stopping of work, therefore you all should discharge your duties. Our government is always making efforts for the welfare of employees. The old pension scheme is an example of that. Considering the financial resources of the state, we have been taking decisions in the interest of the employees and will continue to do so in future as well”, said the chief minister in a picture posted along with his tweet.
Meanwhile, the state government employees went on indefinite strike nearly a week ago demanding dearness allowance at par with that of central government.
