Chhattisgarh records 907.0 mm average rainfall so far

Raipur: An average rainfall of 907.0 mm has been recorded in Chhattisgarh since June 1, 2022. The highest rainfall of 1906.8 mm was recorded in the Bijapur district while the Surguja district recorded the lowest average rainfall of 363.2 mm. This is according to the district-wise rainfall statistics from June 01 to August 19.

According to the information received from the state-level control room for flood disaster management, Surajpur has received 526.8 mm of rainfall since June 1. Similarly, Balrampur received 478.0 mm rainfall, Jashpur 535.3 mm, Koriya 542.0 mm, Raipur 691.4 mm, Balodabazar 921.6 mm, Gariyaband 972.1 mm, Mahasamund 938.1 mm, Dhamtari 976.7 mm, Bilaspur 1050.6 mm, Mungeli 972.4 mm, Raigarh 874.6 mm, Janjgir-Champa 1065.9 mm, Korba 809.5 mm, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi 775.7 mm, Durg 797.4 mm, Kabirdham 875.6 mm, Rajnandgaon 950.6 mm, Balod 1029.4 mm, Bemetara 565.4 mm, Bastar 1292.7 mm, Kondagaon 1049.7 mm, Kanker 1178.2 mm, Narayanpur 1075.6 mm, Dantewada 1303.6 mm and Sukma recorded an average rainfall of 878.5 mm.
