MLA Shailesh Pandey explained that this is the most sensitive area in terms of offices. The new and old composite buildings, including more than 50 government departments such as the collectorate, district court, zila panchayat, registry office, police, and municipal corporation, are located opposite Collector Road. Several departments are interconnected, and thousands of people who come for essential work are forced to cross the road multiple times during the day, which poses a risk of accidents. He said that a foot overbridge could solve this problem, allowing the general public to cross the road fearlessly.
