CM Bhupesh Baghel chairs conference of SPs and IGs, instructs them to ensure complete ban on Hukkah and ganja in the state

Raipur:
Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday chaired a conference of Superintendents
of Police and Inspectors General of Police here at New Circuit House Auditorium.

minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, agriculture minister Ravindra Choubey, chief
secretary Amitabh Jain, additional chief secretary of home department Subrat Sahoo,
DGP DM Awasthi, and senior officers of the home department were also present at the
conference.

Chief
minister Bhupesh Baghel instructed that hookah bars should be completely banned
in the state. He gave strict instructions that the drug business should not be allowed
to flourish in the state and the Superintendent of Police should take strict
action. Narcotics coming from other states should not enter Chhattisgarh. He
said that not even a single ganja leaf should be allowed to enter Chhattisgarh
from another state.

Baghel
said that communal and chaotic elements are trying to give big shape to small
incidents. All the Superintendents of Police should identify them and develop
their intelligence system because such incidents have a direct impact on the
peace and order of the state and the image of the government.
